Lumee started because I couldn’t find a play mat I actually wanted in my home.

Not one.

Everything felt too loud, too bulky… or just didn’t suit the space we lived in.

As a mum, I realised how much time we actually spend on the floor. Tummy time, reading books, building towers, folding washing while the baby plays beside me, or simply sitting together at the end of a long day.

I wanted a space that felt comfortable for my babies, but one that I loved seeing in my home too.

I didn’t want something I had to pack away every time someone came over.

I wanted something that looked beautiful sitting in my living room — while still doing its job properly.

So I found something that did both.
